History of VC at VIP

In 1997 VIP first explored the use of video conferencing as a way to cut down the travel time required for installing a new customer. Upon seeing the potential for improving all communication with customers, VIP committed to using this new technology. VIP makes the Polycom Viewstation camera available for customer's use, free of charge. The distributor is responsible for installing an ISDN phone line installed at their site and providing a standard TV.

At this time, about 2/3 of our customers have VC. VIP considers its $1,000,000 investment in VC cameras to be an unqualified success. More people at more distributors are getting training-resulting in more productive employees and more productive use of the VIP system. Communication has improved tremendously, especially with the help that VIP gets in developing enhancements.
